+---------------------------------------------+ | Dumping TI-Phoenix1 / Nspire+ / Nspire CAS+ | | Boot1/Boot2/Diags | +---------------------------------------------+ brought to you by the united skills of Goplat, Bsl, Adriweb, Jimbauwens & Critor Needed: ------ - TI-Nspire Computer Link 1.0 http://tiplanet.org/forum/archives_voir.php?id=1439 - TI-Phoenix1 / Nspire+ / Nspire CAS+ with OS 1.0.494 or 1.0.554 1.0.554 -> http://tiplanet.org/forum/archives_voir.php?id=4601 (P1-PVT prototypes) 1.0.494 -> http://tiplanet.org/forum/archives_voir.php?id=4599 (P1-DVT prototypes) How-to: ------ 0) connect your handheld to the computer 1) if you don't have OS 1.0.554 ot 1.0.494, install one of them 2) create a '/ndless' folder on your handheld 3) using Computer Link 1.0, send the appropriate 'strings-???.tns' file in it 4) get your handheld IP: - check that the handheld id still on - type 'ipconfig' in a console - you should get a local network with an IP like 172.16.xxx.xxx and a mask of 255.255.255.252 - add 1 to that IP - this is your handheld IP 5) telnet your handheld IP on port 10002 in a console, adapt and type 'telnet 172.16.xxx.xxy 10002' you should get a 'TI_PN_' prompt 6) adapt and type the following command at the telnet prompt: 'fm_xfer(127.0.0.1, pn_fm_fget, "/phx/documents/ndless/strings-xxx.tns", "/phoenix/ntpd/locales/en/strings.res", 0, 0, 0)' if everything went well, you should get a line ending with ' = 0 [0]' and no error report 7) Reboot your CAS+: - unplug the USB - remove one battery in each row - reinsert the batteries The handheld will reboot and load the OS, but then won't show you the usual GUI and will dump Boot1 to /ndless/boot1.tns and the first 2MB of NAND to /ndless/nand.tns. It will then either reboot, either turn off. If it did turn off, you can't turn it back on by pressing on. Just remove one battery in each row again, and reinsert them. 8) After the 2nd reboot, just use your TI-Nspire Computer Link 1.0 again to get the created files: /ndless/boot1.tns /ndless/nand.tns
