Mallard v0.3 ------------- February 27, 2006 By Michael Vincent (michael@detachedsolutions.com) Mallard is designed to be a lightweight shell for the TI-73. It has been designed to occupy a minimum amount of your precious TI-73 RAM. This is a BETA version and may crash. ====**** This is an experimental version that runs on any TI-73 ROM version. If you are using TI-73 ROM 1.60, you may wish to use Mallard v0.2. ****==== INSTALLATION ============ Send mallard.73b to your TI-73 with TiLP (http://tilp.info/index.php) by clicking on "Restore." Please note that the backup will erase all data currently on your calculator. After installing Mallard, you will notice a matrix [A] and real number theta which appear to be taking up a large amount of memory. Do not delete these variables - they are necessary for Mallard's operation. They are using less than 20 bytes of RAM. USAGE ===== To start Mallard, go to the homescreen and run prgmA. It will appear that nothing happened. Don't worry, just press the enter key (or any other key). The Mallard shell will then start and display a list of all Mallard-compatible assembly programs that are on your computer. If there are no such programs, you will be immediately returned to the homescreen. Keys: Up/down arrows - Scroll up/down the list of programs Enter - Execute the currently highlighted program Right arrow - Next page of programs Left arrow - Previous page of programs Mode, Clear, or 2nd+Quit - Exit Mallard and return to the homescreen VERSION HISTORY =============== v0.1 - March 15, 2005 - First public release. v0.2 - March 20, 2005 - Mostly added more documentation for developers v0.3 - February 27, 2006 - Mallard should now run on all OS versions including 1.90. Unsupported, experimental version. This is the last Mallard release.
